Where to pour Vanish in the washing machine?
Vanish is a modern household cleaning product and stain remover. It is designed to remove stains from various fabrics, is suitable for both colored and light-colored items, and can be used in washing machines with various wash programs. It cleans textiles at both low and high temperatures. Vanish should not be used as a substitute for laundry detergent, as it is highly concentrated. When machine washing laundry, add it to one of the compartments of the detergent dispenser.
Correct separation of the powder receptacle
Washing machine design is meticulously thought out down to the smallest detail. The detergent drawer, or detergent dispenser, is no exception. It's divided into several compartments, each with its own purpose. To achieve high-quality cleaning of laundry from dirt, you should choose the right compartment for a particular detergent.
Important! If the detergent drawer compartments are mixed up, washing results will be disappointing. Items may be left soapy or dirty.
Before pouring Vanish into your washing machine, examine the compartments. What should you pay attention to? If your machine is front-loading, the detergent dispenser is usually located in the upper left corner. In top-loading machines, it's located under the top cover. In most washing machines, the detergent drawer consists of three compartments of varying sizes. Each drawer has its own purpose and is marked with a specific symbol.
- "Softener" or "*" symbols are located on the compartment where liquid detergents, such as fabric softeners, antistatic agents, and fabric softeners, are poured. It's usually small. Liquids added to it enter the machine drum during the rinse cycle. For this reason, pouring chlorine-based detergents into the compartment is not only useless but also dangerous. They can become lodged between the fabric fibers and cause skin irritation.
- "I" or "A." The central compartment of the detergent drawer holds powders and other dry detergents. These can be added when selecting certain programs: "Prewash" or "Soak." Liquid bleaches, including Vanish, should not be added to this compartment.
- "II" or "B." The main compartment is the largest in the powder drawer. Water flows into it at the beginning of the washing machine's operation. This drawer is used to add laundry detergents, gels, and stain removers. Vanish should be poured into this compartment.
All bleaching household chemicals are added to the main compartment of the tray. It should be marked "II" or "B." The tray is usually located on the left.
Special compartment of the tray
Most modern washing machines have special compartments for bleach. These compartments are identified by a triangle. To determine whether your machine is equipped with such a compartment, carefully read the instructions. The bleach compartment requires a specific dosage. To avoid exceeding this dosage, refer to the "max" mark on the side of the drawer.
Sometimes Vanish is poured into the drum instead of the detergent drawer. This is acceptable, but requires first diluting the detergent in 3-4 cups of clean water. This procedure helps protect the washing machine drum and laundry from damage. Do not pour undiluted bleach onto dry fabric.
Special mode for Vanish
Manufacturers of modern household appliances now include a bleach setting in some washing machine models. Owners of these machines can enable this program when washing items with Vanish, making the cleaning process more effective. To do this:
- Wash the laundry using the main cycle. Sort the items by material and color. Load the laundry into the drum, add detergent to the detergent drawer, and select the appropriate wash program.
- Once the main cycle is complete, proceed to bleaching the items without removing them from the drum. Open the detergent drawer and pour Vanish or another bleach into the compartment marked with the triangle. Start the bleach cycle.
The machine sets all necessary parameters—time and water heating—without human intervention. The owner simply waits for the bleaching process to complete and evaluates the cleaning effectiveness.
