- Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the base of the heating element and pull it out towards you.
- Take a new heating element and move the temperature sensor, which must be removed from the old heating element, into it.

- Use a rag to clean the area under the heating element from debris.
- Place the heating element in place and secure it with the bolt.
- Connect the wires and close the back cover of the washing machine.
- Connect the machine to the utilities.
