Symbols on the Atlant washing machine
Modern Atlant washing machines feature auxiliary care features. The control panel of these automatic machines is littered with symbols indicating various options. Many users initially become confused, unable to understand how to integrate these additional features into the main cycle.
Let's figure out what the symbols on the Atlant washing machine mean. Where can I find their meaning? We'll explain what functions are programmed into the memory of Belarusian washing machines and what washing modes are available on most models.
Symbols on the Atlant car dashboard
Basically, there's nothing particularly new about the Atlant washing machine's dashboard. If you've previously had a washing machine from another brand, getting used to the controls won't be difficult. A description of all the signs and buttons on the instrument panel is provided in the equipment instructions.
Therefore, the first thing we recommend is carefully reading the user manual. This will help you understand all the symbols on the dashboard. Then, there will be no difficulties connecting additional options or adjusting the main program.
On the dashboard of most Atlant washing machines there are indicators:
- temperatures;
- spin speed;
- child protection;
- door locks;
- cycle time;
- washing stages;
- additional options.

Below the display panel are several buttons with symbols. These connect additional options to the main cycle. The available functions are:
- temperature selection;
- selection of spin speed;
- eco wash;
- pre-wash;
- intensive wash;
- night wash;
- delayed start;
- extra rinse;
- light ironing;
- stop with water in the tank.
Auxiliary features make washing more efficient. Let's explore the tasks each feature helps accomplish.
- The temperature selection button is marked with the "°C" symbol. It allows you to set a washing temperature different from the program's default. The selected temperature will be highlighted by the corresponding indicator.
- The spin speed adjustment button is marked with a spiral icon. By pressing it, you can adjust the spin speed from minimum to maximum, or turn it off completely. The selected spin speed is indicated by an indicator light.
- Prewash is indicated by a basin symbol with the letter "P." It's suitable for heavily soiled cotton items. When this option is activated, the laundry is additionally washed in water with detergent at 30°C, ensuring more thorough stain removal.
- The Night Wash feature is indicated by a crescent moon symbol. When this feature is activated, the machine operates at a low noise level. The spin cycle is performed at a low speed, and the audible alarm is disabled. This feature is not intended for heavily soiled items.
- The "Extra Rinse" option is indicated by a basin with a shower symbol. It's activated when washing children's clothes and items belonging to people with allergies to detergents. The laundry is rinsed in a large volume of water, which completely removes detergent particles from the fabric.

- Easy Iron is indicated by an iron symbol. It's used to reduce creasing during the cycle. When activated, the wash and spin cycle are gentle, ensuring minimal creasing and wrinkling.
- The "Rinse Hold" option is activated when washing delicate items. It prevents fabrics from creasing. The main program automatically disables the drain and spin cycle. At the end of the cycle, you will need to activate the drain.
- The Child Lock feature is indicated by a lock symbol. When activated, the control panel is locked, preventing accidental button presses. To activate this feature, press and hold the Extra Rinse and Easy Iron buttons simultaneously.
- Eco wash (ECO icon) is suitable for washing lightly and moderately soiled items. When activated, this option reduces the cycle intensity, energy consumption, and program duration.
- Intensive wash is good for heavily soiled items. It's not suitable for delicate fabrics; it's only suitable for durable materials that aren't prone to shrinkage. This option indicates a T-shirt with a stain.
- Delayed start is a well-known feature. It allows you to set a convenient cycle start time. It's indicated by a clock face symbol.
To activate an auxiliary function, press the corresponding button.
It's important to understand that it's not always possible to add an additional option to the selected program. For example, the "Intensive Wash" function is not compatible with the "Wool" program. Delayed Start can be activated with any program.
Programs and their characteristics
The software "stuffing" of modern Atlant machines is quite diverse. The washing machine memory contains both basic modes: “Cotton”, “Synthetics”, “Mixed fabrics”, and special algorithms: “Shirts”, “Jeans”, “Sports shoes”. All programs take into account the characteristics of the items being washed.
A breakdown of each washing mode with a description of possible cycle settings can be found in the equipment instructions.
- Cotton is the basic washing mode for heavy cotton items. Temperature settings range from 20 to 90 degrees Celsius. All additional options are compatible with this program. The drum load can be up to the maximum allowed for the specific washing machine model.
- Synthetics – a program for washing synthetic items. Water temperature ranges from 20 to 60 degrees. Half loads of the manufacturer's maximum load are acceptable.
- Mixed fabrics. You can load both cotton and synthetics into the drum at the same time. A prewash cannot be added to the program. The cycle temperature can be adjusted from 20°C to 60°C.
- Wool. A special care algorithm for machine-washable wool and semi-wool items. Only the "Delayed Start" option is compatible with this program. Cycle temperature ranges from 20 to 40°C.
- Silk. This cycle is for washing silk items, underwear, and curtains. Spinning is performed at a low speed. Water temperature is either 20°C or 30°C. Minimum load: 1-1.5 kg.

- Hand wash. This cycle is designed for very delicate fabrics. The machine heats the water to a maximum of 30°C. Spin at the lowest speed.
- Outerwear. This cycle is suitable for washing jackets, windbreakers, raincoats, and items made from water-repellent fabrics. Not suitable for down jackets. The cycle temperature is 20 or 30 degrees Celsius.
- Dark Items. This cycle is for washing dark-colored cotton or synthetic items that require little care. The water temperature is adjusted from 20 to 40°C.
- Sports shoes. Suitable for washing knit sneakers. No more than two pairs of shoes can be loaded into the washing machine drum at a time. Cycle temperature: 30°C.
- Jeans. Special algorithm for washing denim. Reduces the likelihood of fading. Cycle temperature: 20, 30, or 40 degrees. Machine load: half.

- Shirts. This cycle is designed for washing shirts and blouses of various fabrics and colors. The algorithm ensures maximum protection for your items. Wrinkling is minimized thanks to the gentle spin cycle.
- Children's clothing. This program is designed for washing cotton and mixed fabric items (diapers, bed linen, wipes, rompers, undershirts, etc.). Water can be heated up to 90°C. The program includes several rinsing stages.
- Superfast (15 min) refreshes a small amount of lightly soiled clothes in a short time. Washes in cold water, 20-30°C.
The washing mode should be selected based on the type of items and the degree of contamination of the items loaded into the drum.
Modern Atlantis machines feature a wide range of programs and additional options. These modes are sufficient for washing items made of any fabric, whether denim, cotton, synthetics, or silk. Various functions help make washing even more effective.
